Our fundraising is simple and easy: donate what you can to fund much-needed financial support for our annual HSA budget.
The primary mission of the Columbia High School Home & School Association is to support CHS students, families, and staff through enriching and engaging programs and activities, with a focus on access and equity for all students.
The CHS HSA doesn’t charge membership dues, which means we rely on donations from the CHS community to fund programs and events throughout the year that directly improve our children’s high school experience and support our CHS teachers and staff.
- Cougar Cares is the student and family support branch of the CHS HSA. Our mission is to enable every student at Columbia High School to participate fully in all activities by offering discreet, supportive, and stigma-free assistance to those in need, through the Giving Pantry, food support, access to school activities and events, emergency care, and advocacy to address hidden barriers to access.
- Midnight Madness has been an HSA tradition at Columbia High School for over 35 years, whisking away the graduating class to a substance- and phone-free mystery overnight adventure on the night of graduation.
- Appreciation Events for Faculty and Staff, including a back-to-school breakfast, holiday brunch, spring luncheon, and pop-up events.
- Beautification Projects throughout the school building and grounds.
- FREE SAT/ACT Diagnostic Comparison Tests in the fall and spring.
- Class Celebrations like Freshman Field Day, Homecoming, and Senior Prom.
- Support for school-sponsored programs like Grads Return, College/Career Fair, and Senior Recognition Night.
- Weekly newsletters and our HSA website with key dates, helpful links, and resources to help you navigate the school year.
- Contributions to the CHS Scholarship Fund. Over the past 25 years, CHSSF has awarded over 3,000 scholarships totaling more than $3.6 million to CHS graduates pursuing post-secondary education.
