Volunteers Needed | August 27th

NEW DATE & TIME! We're looking for friendly faces to help with the HSA's Welcome Back Breakfast for our amazing CHS Staff on Wednesday 8/27!

It's a super easy volunteer opportunity. The HSA is providing a buffet of breakfast treats, coffee, and tea, and we need a few extra people to keep the tables tidy and welcome teachers, admins, and staff back to school. (Select a 45-minute shift at 7:00 or 7:45.)

Q1 Option 2 Deadline | August 29th

Calling all Fall Sports athletes! The deadline to apply for Option 2 (which replaces PE Class with Study Hall and weekly logs and journals) is Friday 8/29 at 3pm. The info packet and application was sent to all students via their SOMSD email account.

Important notes:
• Students need a coach's signature, so don't delay.
• Health and Driver Education can NOT be replaced with Option 2.

It's time to schedule your senior portraits! Sessions begin on August 4th @ CHS. Pro Tip: Search your email (or your senior's school account) for "Urgent Senior Photo Information" to confirm your log-in information.

To be included in the 2026 yearbook, seniors must schedule a FREE portrait session with Lors Photography. There is no obligation to purchase prints.
