COUGAR CARES ALL YEAR LONG

This year, CHS HSA Cougar Cares supported our students in more ways than ever, including:

• School supplies like student planners, backpacks, and calculators
• Clothing, sneakers, and coats
• Toiletries and personal care products for health, wellness, and hygiene
• Grocery gift cards for families during school breaks and long weekends
• Games, art supplies, and meals for programming within CHS
• Equipment for participation in sports
• Pizza and snacks for MAC students and after-school programming
• On-hand snacks for the school day (SO... MANY... SNACKS!)
• Financial assistance for field trips, competitions, and conferences
• Financial assistance for senior year milestones like prom, yearbooks, and graduation fees
• Free formal wear through pop-up shops for Homecoming and Prom
• Emergency needs such as eyeglasses and other urgent items

Cougar Cares is here to make sure every student feels seen, supported, and celebrated. The need in our community is very real and more extensive than most people realize, and we couldn't do any of this without you. ❤️

Looking Ahead: Summer School Food Support

Summer school days are long, and the district doesn't provide breakfast or lunch. Cougar Cares keeps snacks and water on hand so that hunger never gets in the way of learning.

MEND Hunger Relief Network will generously provide fruit every week, but help from our CHS community is needed for donations/deliveries of snacks and water once a week at CHS during the six weeks of summer school. Please consider signing up for a week or more.

Another option: your cash donations help fill in the gaps, especially in the first couple of weeks of summer classes. Every dollar goes directly to a student in need.

THANK YOU!

From everyday essentials to once-in-a-lifetime milestones, Cougar Cares shows up for CHS students all year long ... and none of it would be possible without this incredible community. ❤️ The need around us doesn't take a summer break.

Cougar Cares' mission is to ensure that every student at Columbia High School can participate fully in school life with dignity, and without barriers. Through food support, access to activities and events, emergency assistance, and behind-the-scenes advocacy, we provide help that is always discreet, always judgment-free, and always student-centered. Beyond the drives and donation requests you see throughout the year, your financial contributions are what make it all possible.
