COUGAR CARES | SUMMER FOOD SUPPORT

Summer school days are long ... and the district doesn't provide breakfast or lunch. CHS HSA Cougar Cares works with CHS Counseling to keep snacks and water on hand so that hunger doesn't get in the way of learning. MEND Hunger Relief Network will generously provide fruit every week, but help from our CHS community is needed for donations/deliveries once a week at CHS during the six weeks of summer school.

Please consider signing up for a week or more. Requested snack items are:

   • nut-free granola bars

   • chocolate chip bars

   • fruit snacks

   • belvita breakfast biscuits

   • rice krispies treats

All snacks should be store-bought and individually wrapped.

Thank you for supporting our CHS students!

CLASS OF 2026 | CLAP OUTS 6/16

Each June, CHS Seniors are invited to put on their cap & gown and gather at their SOMSD elementary school* to walk through the halls one last time, while their families, former teachers, and current students clap and cheer. It's a joyful and sentimental experience to see how much our children have grown before they head into the world after high school. Bring tissues!

Tuesday 6/16 @ 11:00am
(Delia Bolden will start at 11:35am)
SOMSD Elementary Schools

*All South Orange and Maplewood Seniors are invited! Attended an SOMSD elementary school, but graduating elsewhere? Didn't attend a local elementary school but would love the experience? Everyone is welcome!
